The City Central Music School is a new music institution located in Wollongong, NSW. It has now been running for two years. CCMS provides paramount music tuition headed by its principal teachers who are highly trained professional musicians and educators with vast experience and recognised international music careers. CCMS believes that children need to be actively involved in the learning and performance of music as it is one of the most powerful tools in enhancing self-esteem and the development of social and other skills. Our teachers desire to help students bring out their best in a most enjoyable and inspirational way. We believe that music learning, in spite of its challenges should be fun and exciting. We aspire to instil in students the view that music is a great crowning reward of artistic expression and that the art of practicing which is the key to it s success, is a discipline associated not with boredom but with joy. Studies have consistently found that music enhances a child's intellectual development. Students that are learning music have been shown to achieve better marks at school, to gain more confidence and to outperform their peers.
